Preaching Christ?
Acts 8:4: "The believers who were scattered went everywhere preaching the message."
The believers, in their numbers, spread across the regions doing just one thing—preaching Christ. That was their only business.
Every one of them, what do we learn from this? We learn that we are all called to preach Christ. God nowhere states that only ministers are to preach the Gospel and the saving message of Christ. His command is to all.
They were not just preaching in pulpits. No, they were telling the salvation story to every man, woman, and child. At every opportunity, they were sharing Christ—not their business, just Christ.
Sharing it anyway and anywhere.
They preached Christ because He is the only remedy for sin, the only one who can save and set free. He is the crucified, resurrected, ascended, and living Savior. He is returning to take His beloved to live in eternity with Him, worshiping the Father in the great, beautiful city of Heaven.
Are you preaching Christ? This is not about the reading of religious essays, socialism, delivering lectures, sharing opinions on theology, or discussing present-day politics or lifestyle. While they matter too, preaching Christ is more than that. It is telling and sharing with the unsaved that the One who is the Way is prepared to save them once they come to Him.
Preaching Christ? Please do so today.
